Vice President of the European Parliament / Italy
He is current Vice President of the European Parliament, responsible for the relations with Latin America and member of the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (EuroLat). He was Vice President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for Transport from 2008 to 2010 and Commissioner for Industry and Entrepreneurship between 2010 and 2014.
