Ibero-American Secretary-General
Chilean lawyer and politician. He was Minister of Defense and Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Republic of Chile, where he was also elected senator on two occasions and deputy for a period. He also worked as a consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). In the academic field, he was dean of the School of Government at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. Since 2022, he is the head of the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB).
